• Purpose-Full Design

    Exceptional experiences don't just happen,

    they're created ON PURPOSE!

  • The 4 "P"'s of Purpose-Full Design

Everything you offer your client is an experience.

Your brand, your product, your event, your book.

These are all experiences people have with YOU.

When you design every part of that experience, ON PURPOSE,

you create unquestionable value, and delighted customers, each and every time.

Use Purpose-Full Design BEFORE you hire a web or graphic designer, BEFORE you create your logo, BEFORE you begin planning your next event!

    1. PEOPLE: Who? (Ideal Client, Target Audience, Who you Serve)

I was ready to quit everything. If one more person told me that I needed to get clear on my "client avatar", I was going to loose my mind. I just did not know HOW to get clear on this critical starting point. I knew there had to be a better way, and as usually, when something isn't working for me, I create something that does!!

As part of your design package, we'll start here. Not only will you connect deeply with the notion of WHO you serve, you'll understand how they think, what motivates them, and what they want from you. All of this matters. You'll feel more confident and less "sales-y". You'll even be able to use this for writing your web copy AND increasing your search engine effectiveness!

    2. PURPOSE: Why? (Your reason for being, your impact, your value)

The most common (and costly) mistake made by purpose-driven entrepreneurs is NOT being as clear as they could be about WHY they're doing what they're doing.

This is what sparked all of this work for me. I kept having conversation with people who really didn't know how to answer this question. They knew WHAT they did, they knew HOW they did it, but they hadn't gotten down to this level of clarity.

When you know the purpose of your service, product or other offering, you can create every detail ON PURPOSE. Without it, you may make something great, but it may not be the thing your audience wants or what you want!

    3. PROOF: What? (Results, Outcomes, How we will know it's "working")

Knowing your purpose is NOT enough. Again, I see people make this mistake all the time. If you don't know what success will look like, feel like, sound like, you won't know when you get there. More importantly, your clients won't know!

This is how you create VALUE for your clients. When they know precisely how to determine if what you're doing is working, they will become raving fans!! (p.s. there's brain science involved with this too, I'm happy to tell you more if you're a nerd like me!!)

    4. PROCESS: How? (The experience you create, designed On PURPOSE.)

What will you create to be sure your PEOPLE experience your PROOF and your PURPOSE?

This is where most of us begin, but really it's the end of the design process, NOT the beginning. We want to jump into creating the Process, the package, the offering, the event - it's the fun part, it's where we get to be creative, it's why we love doing what we do!

But here's the problem, when you begin with the Process, you might make something great, it might feel good to make it, but you won't know, without LOTS of trial and error (and maybe some white knuckle stress!), whether or not you've created the right thing, for the right people, at the right time!

Doing it backwards ends up costing you immeasurable amounts of time, energy, and sanity!

If you apply this Design Process, everything you create will be purposeful, targeted to truly meet the needs of your audience, and they will know without a doubt the value of their investment.
