Adventure IS :

-- unruly. It colors outside the lines and questions why those lines are there to begin with.

-- an antidote. It frees us from the fight, freeze or flee we often experience in the face of uncertainty and the unknown.

-- a skill. We can practice adventure. A little bit goes a long way. In moments that matter, we can access the Spirit of Adventure and create possibilities, even if we're staring into a dark abyss.

-- the foundation of an expansive life. One that isn't defined by external circumstances.

-- going where you've never been before. Questioning limits that aren't helpful (or even real).

-- seeking and celebrating the magnificent surpises life has to offer. The unknown goes both ways -- wanted and unwanted. You can't escape it. You CAN learn to play and dance with it all!!

Adventure is NOT :

-- being reckless. Sometimes we choose it, sometimes it chooses us, but the Spirit of Adventure is always generative.

-- destructive, careless, or even rebelious. When we 'rebel', we're pushing against something. That something is still in charge. Adventure is choosing your OWN path.

-- bypassing or ignoring what is. In fact, it's learning the incredibly advanced skill of being able to hold multiple things being 100% true at the same time.

-- escaping hard things. In fact, it's learning to meet hard things with all of your resources in tact. Confidently, courageously, and skillfully.
